SYNOPSIS

Soon after Dr. Koblin reports that Tabatha is a perfectly normal baby, Samantha sees a toy pony floating in the air to Tabatha when she wiggles her fingers, and realizes that the baby has inherited her witchcraft. Endora is delighted, but Samantha worries how to break the news to Darrin. Larry Tate brings Mark Robbins, a client, to the Stephens home to discuss a new image for his product - truck transmissions. When Robbins sees Tabatha he decides she is just the image he wants for his product. Darrin agrees to have Tabatha pose for Diego Fenman, a leading baby photographer. After staying awake all night rehearsing a speech to break the news about Tabatha's witchcraft to Darrin, Samantha falls asleep.

Darrin takes Tabatha to Diego's studio. Diego insists an being alone with Tabatha while he photographs her. As toys float through the air whenever the baby twitches her nose, Diego thinks he is going mad. Tate and Robbins are impressed with the pictures in which objects are suspended without the use of wires. Darrin voices the hope that Tabatha will grow up just like her mother. Samantha, who still hasn't found the courage to inform Darrin about Tabatha, tells him he is sure to get his wish.

76. "THE MOMENT OF TRUTH" (9-22-66)

SYNOPSIS

Samantha still hasn't found the courage to tell Darrin Tabatha is a witch. When the baby, using her witchcraft , turns the living room into a mess, Aunt Clara is sure her own failing powers are responsible. Larry and Louise Tate arrive to help celebrate the Stephens' anniversary. As Tabatha practices her witchcraft in her crib, things start moving in the living room downstairs. Following a toy pony which floats upstairs into the baby's crib, Darrin finally realizes his daughter is a witch, but tries to hide his shock from Samantha. Darrin and Samantha have their hands full trying to keep the Tates from discovering the truth about Tabatha.

To get Larry to leave, Samantha uses her own magic to convince him that he has had too much to drink. Then she reassures Aunt Clara that she was not responsible for the untidy living room. Aunt Clara is overjoyed to have another witch in the family, the first of the new generation. Darrin, reconciled to the truth, tells Samantha its been so wonderful living with one witch, it should be twice as wonderful living with two.

77. "WITCHES AND WARLOCKS ARE MY FAVORITE THINGS" (9-29-66)

SYNOPSIS

Endora tells Samantha that her aunts are coming to the Stephens' home to test Tabatha's powers of witchcraft. First Aunt Clara comes down the chimney. Then Aunt Hagatha and Aunt Enchantra appear. When Samantha wishes her father were present, Maurice sweeps in. Endora and Maurice quarrel and Maurice leaves for a performance of "Faust," in Vienna. During the test, Tabatha thrills her great-aunts with the display of her powers. Hearing strange voices when he phones, Darrin tells Samantha he is coming home. At that, the phone cord loops itself around Darrin and Larry Tate. When they succeed in freeing themselves and get into the car, it immediately develops four flats.

Darrin finally arrives just Endora declares that it has been decided to educate Tabatha in Hagatha's school for witches. Outraged when Darrin firmly takes a stand that Tabatha's education should be decided only by her parents, Endora, Hagatha and Enchantra pronounce a magic spell. Samantha, Darrin and Aunt Clara, who has sided with them, find themselves rooted to the floor. When Endora prepares to leave with Tabatha, Samantha blows a whistle Maurice gave her. Maurice appears, makes a magic gesture, and the three witches find themselves shivering on a mountain top. They are brought back by Maurice on condition they promise not to meddle with his grandchild. Later, Maurice offers Darrin and Samantha an evening on the town any place in the world while he babysits with Tabatha.

78. "ACCIDENTAL TWINS" (10-6-66)

SYNOPSIS (NOTE: Johnathan's name was originally "Timothy")

Aunt Clara babysits with Tabatha Stephens and Timothy Tate when their parents go to the theater. She entertains the babies with magic. Peeping through the window, Gladys Kravitz is completely befuddled. Her magic dulled by age, Aunt Clara's spells go awry and suddenly Timothy becomes twins. Aunt Clara can't remember how to undo the spell. Arriving home, Samantha and Darrin are aghast. Frantically, they try to keep the Tates from learning what happened to their baby. Since Larry has to catch an early plane, they persuade the Tates to leave Timothy overnight.

The next morning, Louise arrives, followed by Larry, whose flight has been delayed. As the Tates are on the verge of discovering the worst, Samantha realizes that a youthful Aunt Clara could solve the problem. She uses magic to make Aunt Clara ten years younger. Aunt Clara pronounces the proper spell and the twins are just one baby again. Leaving, Larry wishes he had another baby just like Timothy. Samantha and Darrin exchange weary looks.

79. "A MOST UNUSUAL WOOD NYMPH" (10-13-66)

SYNOPSIS

Gerry O'Toole, a beautiful Irish girl who is a friend of Darrin's aunt, arrives for a visit and announces she plans to stay with the Stephens until she gets a job. Samantha is curious when Gerry announces she dislikes cats. She is startled when Gerry re-weaves a hole in Darrin's sweater perfectly. Endora tells Samantha Gerry is a wood nymph - a mortal enemy of witches. Samantha forces Gerry to reveal she has come because Darrin's ancestor, Darrin the Bold, slew Rufus the Red in the 14th Century, and that henceforth all his descendants have been accursed. Samantha tells Endora she must return to the 14th Century and remove the curse by stopping Darrin the Bold from slaying Rufus the Red.

Endora casts the spell and returns Samantha to 14th Century Killkarney. Samantha stops the fatal duel between Darrin and Rufus by convincing each of the opponents that the other is invincible. Back home, Samantha finds Gerry pursuing Darrin. Her anger vanishes when she hears Darrin declaring his love for his wife. Gerry refuses to believe that Samantha has removed the curse. Endora summons Rufus the Red, who takes Gerry home with him. Later, Samantha wonders how Darrin would look with his ancestors red hair and mustache. She twitches her nose and gets the desired effect. Deciding Darrin looks ridiculous, she twitches again and a puzzled Darrin returns to normal.

SYNOPSIS

Uncle Arthur pops out of a painting in the Stephens home. Samantha tells him she in trying to stop Endora from encouraging Tabatha to use her witchcraft. Uncle Arthur's remark that Endora is an "old crone" brings his sister into the action in a fighting mood. A violent argument erupts and Endora, vowing never to return, leaves. Time passes and Darrin complains about the influence Uncle Arthur is having on Tabatha. When he tells Samantha he'd rather have Endora, his mother-in-law appears. Pointing to a vacant lot, Endora produces a house and announces she is moving in. Uncle Arthur gestures, and the house disappears. She calls the police, who send Officers Floyd and Noel to investigate.

Uncle Arthur and Endora continue their quarrel. Samantha, out of patience, insists they make up. After they leave, Darrin realizes the house is still on the supposedly vacant lot. When Samantha makes it vanish, Gladys gets hysterical again. Noel and Floyd decide the less said about it, the better. Later, while the Stephens enjoy the peace of being alone, Endora pops into a painting in the hallway. Immediately Uncle Arthur appears in a portrait next to her. Both admit they don't trust each other, but agree to remain in their frames to keep an eye on future happenings.

SYNOPSIS

Darrin is incensed when Endora makes a house appear on a vacant lot near the Stephens home for a Halloween party. Uncle Arthur, who is constantly bickering with his sister, arrives. When Samantha begs her mother to remove the house, Endora decides to hold her party in the Stephens home and lavishly transforms the living room. That night, Boris approaches the house with Eva, a black cat. Before entering, he turns the cat into a beautiful woman. Gladys Kravitz phones Councilman Green and insists that he investigate the strange happenings. With champagne and food floating about the room, the party becomes a gala affair. Samantha has her problems stopping Eva from making a play for Darrin. Councilman Green and his campaign manager, Morgan, arrive. Darrin spots Willie Mays among the guests. Samantha assures him that Mays must be one of her group to achieve his home run record.

Councilman Green and Morgan call off their investigation after Uncle Arthur has them walking through a non-existent house and falling into the shrubbery in the Stephens backyard. Endora insists on reciting poetry. Trying to stop her, Uncle Arthur turns the place into a shambles and Endora vanishes, along with the party. Later Darrin admits it was the most unusual Halloween party he ever attended. He crosses his fingers while wishing Endora never returns. Samantha expresses her surprise that Darrin believes in such silly superstitions.

SYNOPSIS

Diaper Dan, secretly working for the A.J. Kimberly Advertising Agency, gives Samantha a baby rattle. As the rattle is bugged, Dan is able to tape all the conversation at the Stephens home. Samantha, proud of Darrin's creative ability, describes his ad campaigns to Endora. Dan tapes it on the recording equipment in his truck. Larry Tate and Darrin are stunned when Mr. Wright, their new client, reveals that two of their ideas have already been presented by the Kimberly Agency. They tear their office apart searching for a hidden mike. Samantha is angry when Darrin tells her she might be responsible for the leak. When Samantha and Darrin stop speaking to each other, Dan sends Samantha a bunch of roses, and Darrin a necktie. They make up and discover that neither sent the other a gift.

When Endora protests her innocence, Samantha phones the florist, and finds that Diaper Dan ordered the flowers. Checking further, Samantha discovers the rattle is bugged. She twitches her nose and Dan's truck begins to disintegrate. Dan blubbers as diapers fly all over the street. Samantha twitches her nose again, as Dan plays his latest tape for Kimberly, and a stream of baby talk comes out. The next morning, Darrin reports that Mr. Wright is very happy with the new campaign. Diaper Dan arrives and tells Samantha that he's spending the next month in a rest home.

83. "THE SHORT HAPPY CIRCUIT OF AUNT CLARA" (11-10-66)

SYNOPSIS

The Stephens are invited to the Tate home to meet a client, Mr. MacElroy, who manufactures shoes. Darrin agrees to let Aunt Clara babysit when Samantha tells him Aunt Clara is sad because she has lost her boy friend, Ocky, a warlock, to a younger witch. Trying to get Tabatha to sleep, Aunt Clara decides to bring the piano upstairs. She reduces it to toy size, but it grows as she carries it, and she gets stuck on the stairs. Aunt Clara tries another spell and all the lights go out. Upset when Abner Kravitz reports the whole Eastern Seaboard is blacked out, Aunt Clara summons Ocky for help. He brings the Stephens' lights back on by raising his hands. Aunt Clara tells him to keep his hands up.

Learning the lights are on at the Stephens', Larry insists they all go over there. Aunt Clara sees them coming and hides Ocky in a closet. A crew from the power company arrive to check. Gladys sneaks into the house and ducks into Ocky's closet. She screams and the lights go out as Ocky drops his hands. Aunt Clara realizes she must get rid of him. When Darrin opens the closet, a pair of shoes walks out. Gladys faints but MacElroy is delighted with the walking shoes, sure it is a gimmick Darrin has created for the advertising campaign. Darrin and Samantha decide not to disillusion Aunt Clara. They let her go on thinking she was responsible for the big blackout.

SYNOPSIS

Darrin is furious when Samantha gives his orange and green checked sport jacket, bought before he was married, to Good Will. Larry and Louise Tate have been seeing Dr. Kramer, a psychiatrist who specializes in teaching married couples how to fight. Larry tells Darrin that the jacket, a symbol of Darrin's carefree bachelor days, represents a threat to Samantha. Meanwhile, Louise lectures Samantha, emphasizing the importance of clothing and the gifts married couples exchange. Hoping to mend matters, Samantha uses magic and retrieves Darrin's jacket. Darrin, acting on Larry's opinion that sensible clothes imply happiness and security buys Samantha a drab bathrobe. Darrin and Samantha each feel the gifts indicate a dissatisfaction with their marriage and the rift widens. Larry suggests they see Dr. Kramer.

Although Endora is stunned when Samantha reveals she plans to consult a psychiatrist, she insists on the best and summons Dr. Freud himself. Dr. Freud has settled Samantha's problems to his own satisfaction when Dr. Kramer arrives. They start arguing who will handle the case and square off when Kramer accuses Freud of father fixation. As Samantha and Darrin try to separate them, Endora uses magic to send Freud back to the unconscious. Twitching her nose, Samantha produces a lush smoking jacket for Darrin and a sexy negligee for herself to celebrate their reconciliation.

SYNOPSIS

Samantha agrees to serve on a fund raising committee. Later, she tells Endora she wishes Darrin would forget about business now and then. Endora flicks her fingers and a bowl of popcorn appears. Darrin eats a handful and announces he's taking the day off. The milkman nibbles some popcorn and decides to join Darrin. Larry Tate phones and is incensed when Darrin declares he's not going to the office. Arriving to check, Larry takes some popcorn and joins Darrin and the milkman in a game of stud poker. Samantha makes them move out to the patio when her committee members arrive. Mr. Parkinson, the client, comes to the Stephens house to tell Larry he is taking his account out of the agency. Nibbling on the popcorn, Parkinson immediately loses interest in the business world. A policeman, coming to give Parkinson a ticket, eats some popcorn and joins the group.

Darrin demands something more substantial to eat than popcorn. Since Samantha didn't buy any popcorn, she recognizes Endora's touch in the mad afternoon. Still high on popcorn, Darrin and his cohorts take over the fund raising, and call on their friends for heavy contributions. The ladies, who have begun to nibble on popcorn, are delighted with the men's success. Samantha makes Endora remove the spell and everything goes back to normal. When Samantha explains that she joined the committee to make friends, Endora makes another gesture and Samantha is soon swamped with calls for her services.

86. "SAM'S SPOOKY CHAIR" (12-1-66)

SYNOPSIS

Shopping for antiques, Samantha is intrigued by an old chair which moves about to catch her attention. She buys the chair and goes home to prepare dinner for the Tates, Max Cosgrove, an agency client, and his domineering wife, Adelaide. Larry and Darrin hope to get Max to renew his contract during dinner but are continually foiled by Adelaide. The chair seems to take a dislike to Darrin and tries to kick him, but Adelaide insists on having it. Yielding to Darrin's pleas, Samantha sells the chair to Adelaide, who decides Max will sign the contract in the morning. During the night, the chair returns to the Stephens home. Blaming Max for its disappearance, Adelaide again holds up the contract. When Max sees the chair he accepts Darrin's explanation that it is a copy but insists on having it for Adelaide.

The chair immediately begins making life difficult for the Cosgroves. Every time Adelaide sits down, it throws her on the floor. When Max leans on it, the chair collapses. Angry with Max, Adelaide decides to go back to her mother. Then Endora reveals that the chair is Clyde Farnsworth, a warlock, who transformed himself when Samantha rejected him. Samantha returns him to human form and makes him understand that he must forget her. Before returning to his new love - a lamp in the antique shop, Clyde makes a copy of the chair. Happy with her chair, Adelaide allows Max to sign the contract.

SYNOPSIS

Finding Samantha struggling to repair a lamp, Aunt Clara uses her uncertain powers of magic to summon an electrician. Benjamin Franklin, in 18th century clothes, appears. Samantha is upset by Ben's presence and Aunt Clara's wail that she can't remember how to undo the spell. Darrin, astonished by Ben's appearance in his home, can't convince Larry Tate that Ben is not his creation for an advertising campaign for Franklin Electronics. Abner Kravitz refuses to believe Gladys' report that the real Ben Franklin is at the Stephens'. Bowing to Samantha's pleas, Darrin agrees to allow her and Aunt Clara to show Ben how his inventions are being used in the city. The next morning Ben, leaving a note that he has decided to tour the city alone to avoid causing domestic discord, sets out.
Darrin, Samantha and Aunt Clara start searching for him. At a fire house, inspecting an old fire engine, Ben steps on the accelerator. The engine shoots out into the street and slams into a curb. Ben is arrested and taken to court, where the judge, sure it is all a publicity stunt, charges him with grand larceny and sets bail at a thousand dollars. Darrin puts up the bail, knowing he will lose it if Ben doesn't appear for trial in a month. Just then, Aunt Clara remembers the spell and Ben vanishes.

SYNOPSIS

Summing up "My Friend Ben" Samantha tells how Aunt Clara, trying to summon an electrician to fix a lamp, produces Ben Franklin instead. Ben is arrested for stealing a fire engine. Aunt Clara makes Ben disappear just after Darrin puts up a thousand dollars bail to guarantee Ben's appearance at the trial.

Assistant DA Chuck Hawkins feels Ben's appearance is a publicity stunt. He tells Darrin that Ben, or whoever he is, will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Aunt Clara finally manages to bring Ben back. Darrin tells Ben his trial for stealing the engine will be held in two days. Samantha and Aunt Clara go to work to turn public opinion in favor of Ben. The prosecution produces a series of witnesses. Most of their testimony, calculated to damage Ben's case, is skillfully refuted by Ben himself, but he feels that Darrin and Gladys Kravitz have weakened his cause.

Samantha disappears and comes back with a plaque from the fire engine reading "Benjamin Franklin Memorial Fire Engine." Applause follows her statement that a man can't be accused of stealing his own property. Wiggling her nose, Samantha immobilizes the DA. She sums up the case that the defendant should be thanked for reminding everyone of all that Ben Franklin accomplished, and of his wisdom. Ben is acquitted, and tells Darrin he in planning a night on the town with Aunt Clara. Samantha assures Darrin they'll be all right, since they're both over two hundred years old.

89. "A GAZEBO NEVER FORGETS" (12-22-66)

SYNOPSIS

Samantha tells Aunt Clara she plans to get a bank loan in order to tear down the gazebo and build a rumpus room. At the park, Tabatha fancies another baby's toy elephant and twitches it over. Before Samantha can return it, the child's mother accuses her of being a toy snatcher. At the bank, Mr. Scranton learns that Darrin works for MacMahon and Tate. Since his brother is president of one of the firm's biggest accounts, Scranton approves the loan, but sends Hawkins to appraise the Stephens' property just as a formality. At home, Tabatha demands a toy elephant. Aunt Clara waves her arms and a live polka dotted baby elephant appears. Samantha begs Aunt Clara to get rid of it but finds that she needs the toy elephant to do so.

Hawkins sees the multicolored elephant in the living room and drives off. Soon Larry phones that he's bringing Scranton over to squelch the wild story before he repeats it to his brother. Aunt Clara brings the toy elephant but she and Samantha can't make the live animal disappear before Tate, Scranton, and Hawkins arrive. Samantha manages to hide it until the elephants head suddenly breaks through the wall. Samantha convinces Hawkins that Darrin bagged it on safari. Aunt Clara pronounces the spell, the toy disappears, and the live baby elephant takes its place in the park.

SYNOPSIS

Samantha helps twelve year old Johnny Mills get his Soap Box Derby Racer to the practice area. Gladys Kravitz boasts that her nephew Flash will sweep the local contests and go on to win the finals at Akron. When Johnny's wheel wobbles, Samantha wiggles her nose and Gladys accuses her of helping him. Samantha learns that Johnny's father, a hardworking garage owner, is determined that nothing will stop his motherless son from going to medical school. Fearing his father's disapproval Johnny has secretly built his racer and asks Samantha's help in getting his father to sign the entry blank. Samantha accomplishes this by magic, but he refuses to attend the race.

At the track, Gladys and Darrin watch Samantha closely, to be sure she doesn't help Johnny. When Johnny, on his own, beats Flash, Gladys protests. Mr. Martin, an official, holds up presentation of the trophy until he can question Johnny's father. Samantha pops off and using magic again, gets Mr. Mills to the hearing. When Martin inquires whether Johnny built the racer himself, Mills listens with pride. Johnny explains he assembled the car himself after watching his father at work. When Johnny receives a scholarship after winning the finals, Samantha realizes his father need not fear about Johnny's education. Darrin tells Samantha she's very good at making the dreams of both a man and a boy come true.

SYNOPSIS

Darrin asks Samantha to join him in watching moon pictures on TV, but she replies she's already been there. Then Endora takes Samantha shopping in Tokyo. She buys some unique tea from Watanabe, a Japanese warlock. Darrin asks Larry Tate what a person knowing an inexpensive way to reach the moon should do. He replies it would be that person's patriotic duty to inform the authorities. On Samantha's return, Darrin asks where she has been and refuses to believe she's been in Japan. However, he accepts her annoyed explanation that she's been on another trip to the moon. Darrin dreams that he has reported Samantha to NASA officials. Although he does everything to save her, she is taken into custody by the authorities.

Meanwhile, Darrin takes the tea and a package containing house dust to be analyzed by Mr. Grand, the neighborhood pharmacist. For a while Darrin thinks the dust is moon dust, and that Grand has reported it to NASA. Then Darrin finds that Grand was interested in the unusual tea because his brother-in-law from Nassau County thought it would have a great sale in his chain of stores. Darrin questions Samantha about the moon again, but she replies there are some things a wife should never tell a husband.

SYNOPSIS

Darrin's client, the Solow Toy Company, sponsors HoHo the Clown on TV. Samantha and Endora take Tabatha to the studio to see the show. HoHo announces all the prizes in the HoHo Hope Chest will go to the holder of the lucky badge. Endora is outraged when Samantha tells her that Tabatha is ineligible because she is related to Darrin. Endora puts a hex on HoHo, who gives Tabatha all the prizes and tells the producer she must appear on the show with him. When Samantha refuses to allow Tabatha on the show, Larry threatens to fire Darrin. In the sponsor's booth, Mr. Solow is angry that HoHo has changed the format of the show and performing only for Tabatha. Learning that Tabatha is getting all the prizes, Solow demands to know who she is because she is ruining the show.

Darrin tells Samantha he'll be through when Solow learns he is Tabatha's father and insists that Endora must remove the spell. Gladys Kravitz demands a guest shot for her cousin, so she can win a refrigerator. HoHo brings Tabatha a Shetland pony, because he feels he's in her power. When Endora removes the spell, HoHo's attraction to Tabatha immediately disappears. Discovering that Darrin is Tabatha's father, Solow claims that HoHo and Darrin are plotting to drive him out of business and cancels the show. Larry fires Darrin. Samantha then produces a Tabatha doll and Solow is delighted when she tells him that Tabatha's appearance on TV was a publicity for the new doll.

Darrin is fired when Tabatha wins all the prizes on a TV show.

Samantha asks Endora to stop bickering with Darrin and do something nice for him. When Darrin shows interest in an automobile of the future, Endora produces one for him. At their workshop, the designers find the model they have been working on has disappeared. Darrin tells Samantha he can't accept a product of witchcraft, but convinced that Endora's feelings will be hurt, he keeps the car and falls in love with it. At the office, Larry is in conference with Mr. Sheldrake, a meat packer. Darrin phones Larry to come over and see his new car. Grateful, Darrin is very nice to Endora until he finds that the car he thought Endora got through magic, was made in Detroit. Angry, when Darrin tells Samantha her mother gave him a stolen car, Endora leaves town.

Darrin sees problems ahead when Sheldrake arrives with Larry and decides the car would be a perfect symbol for his product. While Samantha tries to get Endora to return, Sheldrake takes the car for a drive around the block. When Endora returns, Darrin begs her to send the car back to its rightful owners. She does so, with Sheldrake still in it. Sheldrake and the car are whisked to the designers' workshop. Later, Sheldrake reports that the designers of the car have granted him permission to feature it in his advertising campaign.

Aunt Clara is depressed by her waning magic. Larry Tate tells Darrin to forget the Morton Milk account since the Whittle Agency plans to display Ginger, the Morton's famous Guernsey cow in the lobby of the office building. Samantha hopes to cheer up Aunt Clara at lunch with Darrin, while Louise Tate minds Tabatha. Samantha goes off on an errand, leaving Aunt Clara in the lobby. Henerson, a policeman, forbids Culpepper, the delivery man, to bring Ginger into the building. While they go off to phone,
Barney, the elevator boy, sees Aunt Clara talking to a potted plant and suggests talking to the cow. Aunt Clara falls asleep in a rocker in the display. Barney reports Aunt Clara's antics to Samantha, who thinks she changed herself into a cow. Samantha pops Ginger back to her living room and is disappointed when the cow won't answer. Louise sees Samantha talking to the cow and phones Larry.

Larry thinks he has a chance at the account now that Whittle has lost Ginger. Darrin finds Aunt Clara asleep and phones Samantha. In the next phone booth, Larry overhears that Samantha has the cow. Louise confirms Ginger's presence at the Stephens'. Darrin assures Samantha that Aunt Clara is in the lobby and asks her to return Ginger. Samantha makes the cow into a miniature and popping it into her purse, returns it to normal size in the display. Later, Larry tells Darrin he landed the milk account by telling Morton the Stephens love cows. Soon, Morton's present, six Guernseys arrive at the Stephens' home.

SYNOPSIS

Aunt Clara chooses Samantha to defend her when she goes on trial to decide if she should be banished from the witches' community because she is losing her magic. Larry stops by at the Stephens home to pick up some papers for Darrin. Practicing basic witchcraft, Aunt Clara tries to levitate a pencil into a desk drawer, just as Larry arrives. The desk, out of Aunt Clara's control, pops out of the room. Samantha gasps when she finds it on the stairs, drawers open, and papers strewn everywhere. While Aunt Clara hastily stuffs papers into the file, Samantha distracts Larry by asking advice about Tabatha's college career. Samantha gets rid of Larry before Judge Bean, Endora, Enchantra and Hagatha arrive for the trial.
Darrin finds Larry has brought the wrong papers and goes home. As defense attorney, Samantha asks Aunt Clara to demonstrate her powers and stealthily helps her. When Samantha goes to let Darrin in, Endora orders Aunt Clara to do some conjuring. While Samantha searches for Darrin's papers, Aunt Clara gets confused. Soon she has a polar bear, a team of huskies and a palm tree in the living room. The judge decides that henceforth Aunt Clara shall be earthbound. For the last time, Aunt Clara tries a spell. It goes wrong and animals, witches and judge all disappear just before Darrin looks into the living room. Samantha credits Aunt Clara's magnificent mistake for saving her from Darrin's wrath. When the judge reverses his decision, Aunt Clara convinces Samantha that her magic really worked to help someone she loved.

After Darrin tells Samantha he wishes he weren't going to Hawaii on a business trip without her, Endora feels he's up to something and gives him three wishes to prove it. At the office, Darrin's wish comes true when he learns that Larry is going to Hawaii instead. When Darrin announces he must escort Buffy Baker, a beautiful bathing suit model, to a business luncheon and cocktail party, Endora, smirking, eagerly awaits his next wish. Darrin reports he must fly to Boston with Buffy on business, but will be home in time for dinner. Late that night, Darrin phones that a freak snowstorm has grounded all planes. Endora feels she is responsible for the storm. When Buffy can't get a hotel room, Darrin gives up his room to her and goes to the airport to take the first flight out.

A wire for Darrin arrives at the Stephens' home and Endora slyly persuades Samantha to phone Boston. Buffy answers the phone in Darrin's room and he gets a cool reception when he arrives home the next morning. Samantha declares she's going home to her mother. To disprove Samantha's argument that he used the three wishes for Buffy, Darrin wishes Endora were there. She appears immediately. When he wishes she would stay out of their lives forever, she vanishes. Samantha makes him change it to a week. Forgetting he still has one wish, Darrin wishes for a hot shower and lands there, in his pajamas.

Embarrassed when he forgets a client's name, Darrin buys a book to improve his memory. Endora slyly casts a spell on his watch so that when he wears it, Darrin has a perfect memory. Ed Pennybaker, a client, prides himself on his vast knowledge but Darrin tops him every time. When Darrin takes off his watch, he forgets things, but doesn't get the connection. Samantha invites the Pennybakers and the Tates to dinner. Ed displays his expertise on every subject, but Darrin easily outshines him. Samantha realizes that Darrin may antagonize an important client. She tries to stop him but fails. Then Samantha remembers that Endora felt Darrin would be insufferable if he had total recall. She orders her mother to remove the spell from Darrin. Endora hedges, saying there is no spell on Darrin, then admits its on an object belonging to him.

Ed mentions football and Darrin is off on a recital of little-known facts about the game. Suddenly his watchband breaks. The watch falls off and Darrin forgets what he was talking about. When Cynthia Pennybaker picks up the watch and becomes the unbearable expert, Samantha realizes the watch is the talisman. She takes the watch and Cynthia returns to normal. The next day, Darrin complains that he can't remember what happened to his watch. Samantha replies it is being fixed; all Darrin has to remember is how much she loves him.

SYNOPSIS

Samantha paints a picture for a charity exhibit. Unimpressed, Endora replaces it with a Henry Monet, currently on view at Jacques' Gallery in New York. At the office, Darrin completes a perfume ad layout for Mr. Cunningham, who considers himself an art connoisseur. At the amateur exhibit, Samantha, Darrin and Cunningham find that the entry with Samantha's signature has won first prize and will be auctioned off for charity. Darrin and Samantha feel sick, knowing it isn't her work and Samantha recognizes the signature as Endora's handwriting. To prevent Cunningham from buying the picture, Darrin bids against him in the auction. As the price rises, Cunningham hints that if he doesn't get the painting, Tate may lose his account. Darrin drops out and Cunningham buys the picture for $1500.

Darrin invites Cunningham and the Tates over for coffee. Samantha finally summons Endora. Endora assures Samantha she just "borrowed" the Monet and it will pop back to Jacques at midnight. Samantha orders Endora to put things right, knowing Cunningham will blame Darrin when the picture disappears. Endora scorns Cunningham's perfume in comparison to an irresistible fragrance concocted for her in Tibet. Using this as bait, Samantha gets Cunningham to trade the painting for Endora's perfume. Cunningham admires Samantha's own painting and she is happy to present it to him. When Darrin complains he no longer knows what's real and what isn't, Samantha kisses him as proof of what is real.

Charlie announces he's just bought an agency larger than Darrin's purely for tax purposes. Darrin's ego withers as the evening wears on, although Samantha touts his success. Endora asks Samantha why she didn't marry a mortal like Charlie. The Harpers invite the Stephens for the weekend. Annoyed by Samantha's success with the male guests, Daphne proclaims that Charlie is trying to get Darrin a decent job. Charlie offers Darrin the presidency of his ad agency, but Darrin refuses, saying he's not ready for it.

Tired of being upstaged, Samantha twitches up a fabulous mink coat to impress Daphne. Samantha is stunned and Darrin confused when Charlie wants to buy the cost for his wife. Samantha explains to Darrin that she produced the coat to impress Daphne and pay her back for all the unkind things she said about him. Darrin refuses Charlie's offer for the coat but Samantha knows that he is hurt that she used witchcraft to build him up. Samantha gives the coat to Daphne. The Harpers realize she did it out of love for Darrin and return it later. Daphne thanks Samantha for a new set of values and Charlie for giving him a new Daphne. Samantha twitches and the coat disappears.

SYNOPSIS

Soon after Darrin leaves town on business, Mr. Morgan, a domineering client, arrives. Samantha tells Aunt Clara that Morgan is still living in the Victorian Age. Aunt Clara fondly recalls her days as lady-in-waiting to the Queen and tries to return there. Instead, Queen Victoria and her throne pop into the Stephens' living room. When Mr. Morgan demands to meet Samantha, because he judges a man by his wife, Larry comes to alert Samantha, and is bewildered by the Queen. Samantha explains she is an aunt who thinks she is Queen Victoria. Larry begs her to keep the Queen out of Morgan's sight. Samantha and Aunt Clara manage to hide the queen for a while, but Morgan finally sees her. He takes it in stride, because he had a cousin who thought he was the Liberty Bell.

Although at first they got on famously, Morgan and Victoria finally clash. Larry talks back to Morgan, knowing he is risking a million dollar account. As Morgan prepares to leave, Samantha makes him dream he is Queen Victoria and about to lose his head. He awakes, thoroughly frightened and ready to reform. Aunt Clara has great plans for the queen and herself and refuses to send her back. Desperate, Samantha reveals that she and Aunt Clara are witches. Victoria is furious and describes the punishment she would have meted out had she known her lady-in-waiting was a witch. Angrily, Aunt Clara tries to make her disappear but Prince Albert appears instead. When she tries to get rid of him, Aunt Clara vanishes herself. Samantha invites the prince to breakfast.

Then Darrin encounters Terry Warbell, a pretty brunette, who handles the advertising for her father's dress firm. Samantha and Endora see Darrin drive off with Terry. At the office, Terry is more interested in Darrin than in advertising. When Larry threatens to fire Darrin unless he takes Terry to lunch, Darrin cancels his date with Samantha. Meanwhile, a ragged old hag tells Gladys Kravitz her name is Terry Warbell and she's only 24 years old. When Gladys phones, Endora advises Samantha to get the woman away from Gladys. At the Stephens', the woman relates that she met an old hag who switches identities with her and drove off with her car.

Endora warns Samantha of the Crone of Cawdor. If Darrin kisses her, he'll age 500 years. Meanwhile, at Terry's apartment, the Crone knows that time is running out and demands that Darrin kiss her. He realizes how close he was to disaster when Samantha pops in, the clock strikes and he finds himself in the embrace of an old crone. At the Stephens' Terry returns to her former self. Later, Samantha and Darrin celebrate the anniversary of their first date at home.

Unless Samantha can prevent Darrin from kissing a pretty girl, he will age five hundred years.

Frank Eastwood comes to the office to create a new image for the mayor. Endora's spell makes him dislike Darrin. Larry is stunned when Eastwood decides he can't give them the account because of Darrin. Gloria Adams, a stunning model, accuses Darrin of making a pass. Horace Baldwin plans an ad campaign for a new blanket. Again Darrin does nothing right and Baldwin stomps out of the office. Telling Darrin that he provokes hostility, Larry advises him to consult Bob Farnsworth a psychiatrist. Instead, Darrin heads for his favorite bar. When Harry, a bar-fly, shows his dislike, Max, the bartender, also suggests a psychiatrist.

Larry describes Darrin's problems to Samantha and reports he is at the psychiatrist's office. Realizing that Endora is responsible, Samantha, unseen, confuses Farnsworth, who rushes to his own analyst. Samantha makes Endora remove the spell by setting Tabatha against her. All of Darrin's troubles disappear. Later, Darrin is angry because he didn't know Endora removed the spell. Trying to offset the spell, he almost became the boob of the year by being a nice guy.

SYNOPSIS

Worried that Tabatha will make her toys fly around during his parents' visit, Darrin warns Samantha not to leave his parents alone with the baby. When Darrin suddenly finds himself near Tabatha's crib, Samantha reveals that Tabatha can now conjure up people into her presence. Samantha asks her mother to help prevent Tabatha from displaying her powers to Darrin's parents. Endora and Mrs. Stephens dislike each other on sight, and start trading insults. Darrins father, however, likes Endora. Mrs. Stephens feels there is friction between Darrin and Samantha because Endora keeps her from being alone with Tabatha and shows contempt for Darrin. When Samantha weeps because Endora is making things worse, her mother makes buckets of water douse Darrin wherever he goes.

Samantha finally convinces Darrin's parents that all is well with her marriage, and gets Endora to turn off the water showering Darrin. Alone, Tabatha calls her Daddy and Darrin finds himself in the nursery, without coming in the front door. Samantha whisks him out of the house to make a normal entrance. Darrin's warm greeting to his mother and father, Endora and Samantha finally calms everything down. When Mrs. Stephens finds toys floating around Tabatha's room, she is convinced her imagination is responsible for all the ideas she had that Samantha and Darrin were not getting along. She insists its only his imagination when her husband reports he saw an apple floating toward Tabatha.

SYNOPSIS

Darrin is sure his campaign for Madam Marushka lipstick will earn a bonus. Endora sarcastically remarks that he needs more than mere encouragement. Larry and Darrin hope the lipstick campaign will persuade Archie Wilkerson, the advertising manager, to give them the whole cosmetic account. Endora puts a spell on Wilkerson, so that he is entranced by Darrin but ignores Larry. When Darrin learns what Endora has done, he is furious. At the office, Madame Marushka, a mature, attractive and digressive business woman, insists that Darrin be made a member of the firm. When she mispronounces his name, Darrin, sure she is Endora in disguise, orders her out. Darrin rushes home to confront Endora. He is in despair when Samantha, always truthful, insists that Endora never left her side.

Larry and Darrin plead with Madam Marushka. When she rejects Darrin's apology, they head for the nearest bar. Then Samantha takes a hand. Darrin sees his lipstick ad in a newspaper and finds authorization for an all out campaign. Recognizing Samantha's touch, he declares he's moving out, away from all meddling. Then Larry, reports that lipstick orders are pouring in and Madam Marushka wants them to publicize the whole line. Later, Samantha twitches up an extra covering for Tabatha. As Darrin points to his nose, the light goes out. Darrin explains to his puzzled wife that he yanked the plug.

105. "BEWITCHED, BOTHERED AND INFURIATED" (4-13-67)

SYNOPSIS

Using her fading powers, Aunt Clara gets the next days' newspaper and reads that Larry Tate has broken his leg. Although Larry and Louise are on a second honeymoon and made sure no one knows where they are, Darrin decides he must ward off the accident. Samantha's magic transports them to the Tate's hotel. The manager and the Tates almost go crazy as Samantha and Darrin constantly interpose themselves between Larry and any mishaps that might befall him. Darrin leaves to meet a client. Samantha guards Larry but has to stop at the door of the men's steam room. Larry at last feels alone, but finds Darrin, alerted by Samantha, under a towel next to him.

Larry tells Louise he's had enough of the Stephens, even if it means the end of their friendship. At dinner, Larry explodes and tells Samantha and Darrin it's his first honeymoon, because he broke his leg immediately after the wedding ceremony ten years before. Samantha checks and finds that Aunt Clara's newspaper is ten years old. Samantha pops the Tates back to the morning when they first arrived and makes them forget the whole day. Larry even tells Louise it would be nice to have the Stephens along. When Samantha saves Darrin from an accident, Aunt Clara wishes she had her flair. Suddenly, a lighted flare appears in Aunt Clara's hand.

106. "NOBODY BUT A FROG KNOWS HOW TO LIVE" (4-27-67)

SYNOPSIS

Annoyed when Fergus F. Finglehoff follows her around the park, Samantha twitches him into a pool. He emerges ecstatic that she proved his suspicion she's a witch and demands she change him back into a frog. Samantha explains only the witch who changed him can do that. Darrin is puzzled when Fergus answers the phone but Samantha can't stop his from bringing home guests for cocktails. When Samantha introduces Fergus to Gladys, as a friend of Darrins, he tells her he's a frog. Gladys runs off screaming and Samantha twitches Fergus back to the pool. He returns and threatens to expose Samantha as a witch unless she helps him. Darrin arrives with his guests, Larry, Louise and Saunders, a soup manufacturer. Gladys drags Abner over to prove Fergus told her he was a frog.

Darrin corners Samantha, who explains what Fergus wants her to do. When Fergus upbraids Saunders for making soup out of turtles, Samantha twitches him back to the pool. After their guests leave, Fergus introduces a little frog as his girl friend, Phoebe, his main reason for wanting to be a frog again. Darrin suggests that since Samantha can't change Fergus back to a frog, she make Phoebe a human being. She twitches Phoebe into a beautiful girl, but Fergus prefers her the other way. Finding that Fergus paid to be transformed, Samantha knows she can reverse the spell. Fergus and Phoebe choose to be frogs. When Samantha and Darrin have trouble deciding which Frog is Phoebe, Gladys screams.

SYNOPSIS

When Samantha tells Endora she can't go shopping unless Darrin's cold gets better, her mother produces Dr. Bombay. Although the doctor protests treating a mortal, he gives Darrin a pill and the cold disappears. When Larry's cold is immediately cured by one of the pills, he sees millions in them, as partner of Mr. Hornbeck who owns a drug company. Dr. Bombay shows no interest in making a fortune or serving humanity, but intrigued by having his name and picture on bottles in millions of bathrooms, grants Larry and Darrin the right to market his pills. When one of Dr. Bombay's pills produces a miraculous recovery for Mr. Hornbeck, he is happy to take Larry and Darrin in as partners.

As Larry plans to buy everything from lavish estates to cabin cruisers, Samantha reveals that Dr. Bombay is the witches doctor. Darrin's voice turns falsetto and Samantha worries that it is a side effect of the pills. She gets the antidote from Dr. Bombay, which is champagne, but everyone's cold returns. While Larry and Darrin blame each other for the fiasco, Hornbeck arrives with his lawyer. Although they are prepared for a law suit, he is eager to make a deal for the cold pills, showing them the luxurious head of hair they have produced on his bald pate.
